Time To Act Sober World

The magazine Sober world states that it is time to act. There have been 132 ods in Palm Beach County in the first quarter of this year. There was a huge multi page article a few months back in the Palm Beach Post about how some of the sober homes have caused many irate residents who live around these people. Its a tough situation but a little empathy wouldn't hurt. Nobody wants to be an addict, that isn't what most people signed up for. Within every addict there is a person who really wants to get better but hasn't had the chance yet. In other words sometimes people don't get better until a period of forced abstinence. That is why meetings are so important. 9o meetings in 9o days has to be mandatory. Its one day at a time for the remainder of ones life but the initial foundation is the most crucial, this can literally mean the difference between life and death. Another article is about Pharma U, how companies like Purdue Pharma are basically getting paid to train doctors to prescribe meds for pain management first and foremost. Apparently most young adults get hooked on meds not through a legal prescription but rather through partying with their friends(on the street pills) Either way the doctors who do prescribe opiates and Xanax need to be very mindful, even set up interventions once they cut off their client. This disease has nothing to do with character, some people are more prone to addiction. Reward Deficiency Syndrome as Dr Blum points out. They cant just cut these people off cold turkey because that is when the patient is going to have no choice but to hit the streets to find this deadly heroin. The Drug Czar needs to be aware that most of this heroin is coming in illegally from Afghanistan by some very deep and dark channels. Why be a drug czar if you aren't going to initiate a task force to go after these people? What are you really doing that is what I want to know? A lot of people need to get taken down to completely try to wipe out this cia dea alliance that has been going on for many years. Other then that parents need to start raising holy hell because main stream media is covering for the real drug dealers. Just think how much pressure these criminals are putting on our law enforcement officials. Meaning the cops who have to go out and make low level busts and inform the parents that their child just overdosed. One police officer stated that the grandmothers grand son was the fourth family member he had to notify that day. The article that I wrote about a few weeks ago stated that there is no room for all of these people to store their bodies and toxicology reports are backed up for months as well. Lets face it this is really bad. Where is the task force of fire breathing demon chasers? I wouldn't waste my time as a drug czar unless I was cutting the head off of the snake or at least trying to. That means not being politically correct, but that is an impossibility for most compromised politicians.
