Deep Cover

  Without going into too much intricate detail a Deep Cover operative is a spy placed within an organization to get intel. These people are sometimes refereed to as Sleeper Agents but for this blog I will keep everything as simple as possible. A spy is the most useful source of information (Humint) human intel has been working for thousands of years. I am bringing this issue to the forefront because of the NYC deep cover agent that was arrested for being part of a motorcycle gang last month that made national news. This kind of work is as dangerous as it gets and these operatives have to put on an acting job that far surpasses Hollywood Actors because in the world of espionage and intel gathering these agents lives are  truly at stake.The movie Donnie Brosco is a real life accurate depiction of how FBI Agent Joeseph Pistone fell so deep into his role he actually stepped over to the other side. As an outsider looking in it is easy to say Black or White good vs bad however when spy's are placed on the ground it sometimes becomes very easy to develop emotional bonds with the people you are living with and gaining incredible intel on whether acting as a sleeper agent or otherwise.Sleeper agents have little or no contact with their sponsor so it is easy to see how one could move to the other side based on emotional connections alone and loyalty to god and country soon  become a distant memory. CIA case officers are what most people think about when they think about what a spy is or does however these agents aren't the actual spies them self they are the ones who recruit the spies while working under diplomatic cover for the USA. For the most part they have legit looking government credentials in order to gain aces to certain circles to infiltrate their organisation by gaining the trust and respect of certain individuals by using monetary  bribes etc..in order to turn them into double agents or to simply gain  intel. Valerie Plame was a  NOC (non official cover) spy. This is one step above the case officer as far as the danger zone level because when these operatives go deep when they are a NOC if they get discovered they are trained to deny any connection to our government so this means no diplomatic immunity. Our government may find a way to back or cover for them eventually or they may not  How much more dangerous can you get then this, that is why when a  few unscrupulous agenda driven individuals within the Bush administration outed Valerie and blew her cover and essentially ruined her life just because her husband wrote an article that spoke the truth this was truly unconscionable. Although Richard Armitage admitted he leaked this I believe it was inadvertent on his end because he was a solid guy that exposed the reality about all the cronyism and bully Rumsfeld and his sycophants like Scooter Libby who ran with this story and who had a real revenge motive to hurt this high ranking CIA operative. It isn't the suits life that are on the line so what do they care so they made up a bull shit story and manipulated some intel to give us a reason to invade Iraq and completely forgot and neglected our real target Afghanistan. And the real patriot  Valeries husband an American Ambassador they destroyed and ruined his life and put his wifes life in the highest level of an already high danger zone just because he wrote an article that actually exposed  the truth. There was no motive for Armitage because he was a seasoned Vietnam Vet who was one of the first ones that called out the incompetence and the unprofessional battle plan for Iraq by the Cheneys and Paul Bremers of this world.  Cheney deserves some credit for questioning the veracity of the CIA chief George Tenets initial intel report when it came back w/ no WMDs because the CIA blew it big time back in the first gulf war of 91 when they completely missed out on discovering Husseins nuclear bomb site. However overall he was an agenda driven war monger who didn't care how many lives he had to ruin to achieve the  administrations aggressive pursuit of a full scale Iraq invasion.. I didn't have a problem going into Iraq but not  at the expense of getting the job done first in Afghanistan. Our guys were getting killed in Afghanistan because war was being conducted on the cheap so to speak, the Ranger units and others had no money because all of the precious funds were being wasted in Iraq.  If you are going to go to war please listen to the seasoned warriors that have been there before and don't make up lies and manipulate us with false patriotism and destroy innocent peoples lives to further your own pathetic political agenda and please don't send our brave warriors directly into harms way into a hornets nest where road side bombs became the weapon of choice that  killed and maimed our men and women in unarmored Humvees etc with little or no ROEs (rules of engagement). where there was absolutely no end game in site. Iraq accomplished absolutely nothing, it ruined thousands of lives and tarnished our international image by making us appear as phony bullies and as ugly Americans and is going to end up costing our government 3 trillion dollars. We didn't even get control of the oil fields or any imperialistic power motivated monetary gain  whatsoever as a country  however the Halliburtons etc.. and the civilian contracting world was clearly established that is for sure. That is exactly what Ike warned us about the Frankenstein monster, our American war machine.These suits were warned well in advance that our conventional Army was ill equipped and undermanned, General Shinseki called for about 400,00 boots on the ground to get the job done the right way. Although they had no training in counter insurgence warfare as conventional units this is the only way to handle an ugly unconventional guerrilla war with plenty of civil wars in between that was guaranteed to transpire and was predicted by our real military leaders and spy chiefs   A good friend of mine was an Iraqi that became an American citizen  He was recruited out of the Army to become a Green Beret SF operator but please don't think just because he was a valuable intel source ,ie- an indigenous Iraqi who was a perfect asset due to his first hand  knowledge of the lay of the land so to speak that he was given special treatment during the selection process and rigorous training that followed. The selection training in itself weeds out the majority of the already toughest, seasoned and hardened Army warriors and that is only the very beginning of the kind of torture ridden Olympic level type grind our men have to endure to earn the coveted Green Beret. My friend ultimately earned his stripes so to speak and this is what led him back to his home country going house to house dressed as an insurgent with other members of his SF team. He was shot and wounded during one of these missions inside one of the houses but didn't know this until much later because his adrenaline was pumping at such a high level.. This is what led his American SF team to start racing to the nearest battlefield hospital at breakneck speed, however we must keep in mind that this deepest of all deep cover units were dressed as Iraqi insurgents and they were in an insurgent mobile which was a perfect target for our American soldiers as they raced closer and closer to their destination. The way my good friend explained it to me although they were doing the best they could to identify themselves as an American SF team they were nearly all taken out by our soldiers who weren't trained properly on how to identify friendly SOF units based on our overall lack of preparation for the entire campaign to begin with which was a boondoggle to say the least. He was flown to Germany and then Walter Read where he eventually recovered but was medically retired from his unit and the entire Army shortly thereafter due to the nature of his wound. He is a great man however last time I talked to him he said that he was out of work. My next question was how is  a valuable asset at the highest level where to begin with we had an extreme shortage of Arabic speaking trusted sources out of work and not scooped up immediately by a private intel firm, or another OGA (other government agency) or even the CIA itself? This is a man who already survived Green Beret selection and the training that followed. The Defense Language Institute started to train our American soldiers in Arabic training at an expeditious pace and these fine men and women did a great job picking up this extremely difficult language however they are Americans, not indigenous citizens that have already been trained at the highest level that had operational deployments under their belt.. The answer to this question lies in the bureaucratic military industrial complex war machine that has so many dropped balls on a daily basis that they actually forget which balls they drop because it happens so often. This means that a great man  sits around unemployed with nobody to help him or immediately recruit or even know that he actually even existed anymore because of the mountains of paperwork and red tape our spy agencies have to deal with on a day to day basis. That is why I took it upon myself to help him with his resume and spread it across the globe because he is  my good friend who deserved a chance to utilize his special skills to help our country in that so called Iraqi quagmire or some of the other hot spots.. Ultimately he got picked up by an OGA but it took much too long and this was for no other reason then because our leaders don't work together in unison to take advantage of an invaluable asset the government has already spent millions on just  for training alone. Our government spends millions of dollars to train one SOF member, so this means for the most part give or take a few arguments USMC Scout Sniper and Force Recon operators, Army Green Beret and Rangers specifically of the 75 Regiment, Delta Force, Navy Seals and Air Force Para Rescue Teams. It is extremely important to remember these amazing warriors when they come back from theater and their operational deployments due to retirement or for any battlefield wound, PTSD etc.. The system is in failure because alot of these men would be perfect assets to our private spy agencies and Private Military Teams once they heal up however they aren't given enough or any training at all on how to market themselves to a company like Triple Canopy and many others so basically this means the highest trained operators in the world already with operational deployments under the belt go home to our American civilian society with no pension and alot of them are flat out ignored. Military Units and even SOF unit leaders don't know enough about the private side so to speak for the most part. I know this on a  personal level because I had many of these fine warriors contact me and send their resumes and tell me the exact same thing, that they were ignored in a world just like my Iraqi friend for no other reason then bureaucratic incompetence and lack of proper communication across the board. Our Private Spy firms seem to have a dark and black mystique that traditional military soldiers are kept in the dark about  when they get out and believe me when I tell you these men need to have jobs that they can really relate to and there simply isn't anything stateside that even comes close to anything that would pique their interest. Do you think they want to go into a backstabbing corporate world where the guy standing next to him makes believes hes his friend while he really is going out of his way to sabotage  just because he is a direct threat to him as far as advancement or promotion is concerned when he come from a world where no man is left behind and the bonds that are developed are eternal and real filled with respect and love for each other, not for the system or bureaucracy itself but for one another where they trust each other with their life each and every day. These people need to be recruited to the private side immediately otherwise they will fall into an abyss of civilian discontent where not even a police officer job is something of interest for the most part. The SOF operators are burned out and flat out tired from back to back operational deployments with little or no down time in between so many want and need to decompress with a low stress job but  as far as Local Law enforcement is concerned the only thing that remotely comes close to their background would be a high speed tactical SWAT Team or if they could go directly into the FBI Hostage rescue team they wouldn't mind. Other then that real detective deep cover intel work would suit their fancy but to be part of a bureaucratic paperwork shuffling based cop culture, no that wouldn't really work for most of them. Stateside private security is an absolute joke and would be an insult as noted in my bio so the only other jobs that may satisfy their unique talent  would be the few coveted  Executive Protection Agent jobs that open up because even here in Greenwich these jobs are few and far between.Unfortunately alot of these decision makers don't want these  warriors either. A perfect example of this was when a Houston EP detail opened that paid about 85k in 2009, I placed my associates resume who was a former member of Seal Team 4 and Trident security at the top of the pile however at that moment he worked for Blackwater. He wanted to come home stateside permanently to be with his fiance but was flat out refused for this job because I was told this directly due to all of the bad press about American Contractors overseas and they ended up going with a mellow stateside guy who never stepped foot outside of our borders for an assignment. You cant let the actions of a few rogue operators tarnish the image of the entire industry, everybody is an individual and must be treated as such. As mentioned in my previous blog most of these men  are the very ones you would want in a life and death firefight or a blow and go ep detail that is an extreme rare occurrence stateside but its a real risk none the less. So please forget about political correct bs about how our operators aren't great fits for stateside work because they have all ready proven themselves to be superhuman just to earn their SOF badge and whatever private work that may have followed and give them the respect they have justly earned and make sure they get picked up asap by our private intel firms before they fall into the civilian abyss that without question they can not relate to.. They need  a great job so they don't have to leave their families or wife again to go back overseas because that is the only way to make a decent dollar. This kind of dangerous work is ingrained in their character, going back to the states where people watch reality tv and complain about the dumbest and most inconsequential trivial issues on earth makes these warriors upset and full of discontent. Most of their thoughts convey the message that our ugly Americans sit home and complain when they have great lives and they have absolutely no clue about how ugly war really is and what our brave operators experience 24/7 overseas. This same premise holds true for all of our military soldiers and wounded warriors as well we need good jobs for all of the men and women who fought for this country.  A little dose of reality and gratitude wouldn't hurt for all of us because although Iraq was a preemptive bs war based on fabricated intel and political agendas and the battle plan was destroyed by our suits at the Pentagon  9-11 wasn't that long ago. Lets find good stateside jobs for our warriors, ones that they can relate to that pay very well so they don't have to go back overseas- they have already been through enough haven't they?   .

We Are At War

I must  let the American people know that we are involved in an ugly cyber was vs China. This threat is as serious as it gets and I don't use the word war lightly. In fact this threat is so serious the former director of the DNI (Director of National Intelligence) created a major battle plan that is hopefully going to make it all the way through the red tape that will undoubtedly get in the way. Dennis C Blair was a Navy Admiral, he was Obama's first DNI director. As noted in my bio the DNI was created as a result of what led up to the Iraq war, its (faulty unvetted intel.) It is the biggest spy agency on the planet with 16 federal agencies working underneath it so I believe it is safe to say that Mr Blair is highly qualified. His proposal can be viewed at www.ipcommission.org. The problem with China is that they are attacking us every day in every way they can with their cyber-war tactics. As it stands now harmonization and international laws are making it difficult to respond to such aggressive and ruthless infiltration of our or major networks. The Peoples Liberation Army of China have refused to sign any international peace and working agreements such as the Budapest Convention under the guise of violating national sovereignty rights. However the real reason is because they are state sponsored hackers that have special operations teams such  as Team Naid of Hidden Lynx .Although this adversary keeps a low profile they directly infiltrate our Military Industrial Complex. Not only is China stealing our highly classified military secrets they are costing American businesses over 300 billion a year with Industrial Espionage. Digital forensic evidence proves China has engaged in a multiyear full scale sabotage effort coming directly outside of the military units gates.They are trying to sabotage our power grid and air traffic control systems and create havoc on our financial institutions while they steal proprietary information.Over 300 billion is the amount of money we are losing because the enemy hacks its way directly into the biggest names we have such as google and Microsoft.etc. This is just from the theft of intellectual property alone, not counting the other ways they are stealing and hurting us. We all must note that we are already  trillions of dollars in debt and our government almost defaulted recently.Our enemy is taking notice and is waiting for us to become even more weak at the knees. It is extremely difficult to get a patent in this great country, it is an abomination for our creative innovators to have their trade secrets stolen on a daily basis.We must fight back and I am not talking about toast and tea meetings. Counter strikes must start immediately because if we wait too long pretty soon we will be a third world country and that is exactly what are enemies want. Companies must hire their own Cyber Pinkertons  and retrieve any stolen information by directly attacking their networks. How can it be illegal to counter strike against a ruthless enemy in a battlefield where there are limited international law enforcement agencies working together in unison to begin with? We are dealing with state sponsored mercenary hackers, playing nice isn't going to work. Our private spy firms will  hit back and raise the cost of  intellectual property thieves and cause severe damage to their capabilities. Soon they will realize that it will be cost prohibitive to engage in this kind of warfare after all.                  .

Justice for Wall Street?

The aftermath of the financial crisis led to many believing that  there would be some justice after all for the highest level executives on wall street, possibly even criminal charges. These executives were well aware that they were buying and selling toxic traunches knowing full well how bogus they were. The government sent due diligence underwriters  (contractors) in to evaluate loans that were written before the crisis of 08 and these people waved one red flag after another. Country Wide, this lending institution got everybody approved. Its a complex issue to prove fraud on a criminal level, although it was blatantly obvious to the underwriters to outright us the f word is a difficult process. One executive from Citigroup sounded the alarm bells well in advance, he said 60% of the home loans being looked at by our underwriters are bogus, "this is going to bankrupt our entire country" He was actually demoted for speaking the truth. There was one sheriff after the crisis, his name was Senator Kaufman. That man did everything in his power and then some to get the Department of  Justice to start inditing some wall street executives but this seemed to be an exercise in futility. There were thousands of criminal charges brought against the small fry loan originators but not one single criminal case has been initiated toward any of the operatives that are running the dark world and black box of the major wall street firms. In fact Goldman Sachs knew those cdos were junk and they were making a fortune by buying and selling them however they also knew the end was near so they positioned themselves with major short positions against the very derivatives they claimed were so healthy. This is not the American Way, I must say, its ok to make money but not at the expense of the American people. The argument from the DOJs Lanny Breuer was that greed is not good however its not criminal and therefore cant be prosecuted beyond a reasonable doubt on a criminal al level. The FBI financial crimes unit was down to very few agents due to the fact that since nobody listened to John Oneill and "our real threat" now they finally were and most of the resources were used toward the terrorism fight. The problem here is that the suits at the Justice Department didn't know how to  train spy's to go out in the field to get the proper intel, or at the very least to send people out to  get on the ground floor and gather up a few whistle blowers. This isn't that hard to do, in fact Nick Verbitsky an independent filmmaker did this with relative ease which led to his movie Confidence Game. This film uncovered the intricacies of the kind of unbridled greed Bear Stearns was involved with..You have to have people that run in the same circles just like Verbisky did when he had his sources attending various fundraisers and Black Tie galas right here in Greenwich. After all is said and done it appears there will be a few civil suits brought against some firms that in aggregate are a pittance compared to the actual amount of money lost due to this egregious fraud and the infinite number of innocent families lives that have been ruined as a result.. How is not locking up the head sheds sending a message to these people, this only will give them more incentive to do this kind of thing again.     .        

Moving Targets and Executive Protection Dogs

I find it interesting when I see people who have dogs and they are so pleased because Fido can do all kinds of tricks for treats. That is not what its all about. A well trained dog is not one that is manipulated to do a back flip knowing it will get a biscuit. A well trained k-9 is one that is well balanced and is calm due to plenty of exercise and socialization with other dogs and people and clearly they have to know that he/she is not the Alpha wolf. Our European German Shepard's are experts in the world of Schutzhund (protection dog) The worst dogs are the ones who are cooped up all day w/ no pack leader behind a fence w/ no exercise or social integration.These dogs should be everybody worst fear because when they do escape they are dangerous. Our Executive Protection dogs are used for personal protection, search and rescue, tracking, bomb sniffing, illegal drugs and for many other important tasks. They are perfect k-9s that are family oriented and fun and only act upon command or when they sense a real threat. I am using the same analogy at the firing range where most people are taught to hit center mass only at a paper target where they have plenty of time to relax, concentrate and aim. This is what is known as trophy shooting and most instructors swear by it because unfortunately most instructors were never trained properly either. This is not going to prepare anybody ie- specifically the civilian who has a carry permit and they need to understand the tremendous amount of responsibility and liability that comes with the decision to carry a weapon concealed in their day to day life. The most important aspect of all is to develop a tactical mindset. One must train and retrain for various situations, ie- that one in a million shot they must execute when the next maniac decides to go postal on innocent people in a public setting. It also means that escalation of force classes must be taken on an ongoing basis where they will learn that for personal protection the weapon is the last thing to reach for and this is only if their life is truly in imminent danger. This is why with all of our training courses we include effective hand to hand combat techniques. This is used to eliminate the need to ever have to resort to using their weapon in the first place. Krav Maga is the most effective self defense form and it is not even considered a martial art. This is what is used by our Law Enforcement, Private security and Private military teams as well as most of our Federal Agents. Intense cardio is needed for this so that means alot of running, biking and swimming to go along with ongoing strength training is mandatory. Training simulation and simunition evolution's must include incredible amounts of chaos and stress and it must appear as realistic as possible. Moving targets need to be included because it doesn't really matter if you take out the enemy at center mass with a double tap as long as you get the job done and you don't miss and inadvertently hit innocent people or even worse if you don't have the confidence to pull the trigger at all.  I urge all Americans to not even consider taking on the tremendous responsibility of carrying a weapon as a civilian unless you are trained at the highest level and if you feel there truly is a real need for this. If you do decide to take on this risk this means you are going to have to spend money out of your own pocket to train properly but when it comes to something as serious as this it will be well worth it. If you are going to do something that protects and saves lives including your own make sure you do it right or please don't do it at all. .

Collateral Damage

It is an insult to all Americans when insinuations are made that there is any joy by causing inadvertent death or permanent injury caused by our US forces. This ranges anywhere from our Predator  Drones all the way to firefights on the ground and plenty in between. There has been plenty of criticism with how some of our contractors have behaved in Iraq and some of this has been justly earned. However the big picture must be analyzed. Although plenty of top names warned the head sheds that Iraq would be an ugly guerrilla war comparable to Vietnam these warnings were ignored therefore a prolonged quagmire with plenty of civil wars to go along with it was in fact exactly what we stepped into. This created the urgent necessity of utilizing private contractors (PSD) Executive Protection details that provided our ambassadors and dignitaries with escort missions from point A to B. This kind of work is a completely different arena compared to our stateside details. High Value Targets such as any American especially a big name politician was considered huge bounty material.. The rise of utilizing contractors through absolute necessity happened at such a rapid pace nobody was really prepared for it. There wasnt enough boots on the ground from our regular troops, although many were qualified they were already quite busy with their specific MOS. All PSD contractors had previous military and stateside law enforcement experience for the most part at an elite level. Their pay was far greater then our military forces and they were technically civilians working outside of the Uniform Code of Military Justice and this created plenty of controversy as well. .It was considered the Wild West because the critics believed these elite warriors were operating way above the law with no accountability for their actions however the rules were changed after the Nissor Square incident in 2007. By bringing years of experience to the table from various theaters of operation on a worldwide level this means they already paid their dues so to insult a soldier for hires patriotism is an insult at the highest level. We have been utilizing so called mercenary fighters dating all the back to the Revolutionary War with the Minute Men and without question they were all able to get the job done.  There were plenty of smaller private intel firms that provided the same kind of work as the big names such as Blackwater and Triple Canopy at a fraction of the budget. This kind of work is as dangerous as it gets, Prime Minister Bhutto of Pakistan flat out refused a high level threat PSD detail and this is what led to her assassination in Dec.2007..The fact that BW never lost a principle during the entire campaign is truly remarkable. There were a few enemies created along the way and this even includes some friendly fire to our own soldiers. In fact I had the honor of living with a former member of Task Force 121 at the National Training Center. One of the goals for his unit was to create scenarios that made it easier to identify which players were actually playing on the same team .He was on the mountains of the Hindu Kush in 03 tracking Bin Laden w/80 pds of gear on his back at high altitude moving uphill for days on end.He was a humble and quiet professional and shared his philosophies on life with me on a very deep and personal level. Task Force 121 was a United States Department of Defense special operations task force. TF121 was a multi-service force commanded by U.S. Air Force Brigadier GeneralGregory L. Trebon. The spearhead of the force is a forty-man team made up of operators from the U.S. Army's 75th Ranger Regiment, U.S. Army's Delta Force, U.S. Army'sIntelligence Support Activity, the U.S. Navy's DEVGRU, the CIA's Special Activities Division, DIA personnel,^[1] and the U.S. Army 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment Other Special Operations contributions included U.S. Air Force Combat Controllers, and U.S. Air Force Pararescue. On occasions, operators from Coalition nations (particularlyCanadian, British, Australian and Polish operators) augment the TF121 and provide direct and indirect operational assistance.. A perfect example of how these  men really operate was when a highly specialized Maritime Force of Recon Marines seized control of the Magellan Star from ruthless pirates off the coast of Somalia in Sept 2010 without  firing even one single round.. There were 9 prisoners aboard and our guardian angels were a Special Forces team among the highest trained and elite  in the world comparable to Seal Team and Delta. There is no joy in taking the life of another by our angels and I need to get this message across because unfortunately we hear and read all about collateral damage and how evil we are but we don't really learn as much about our real victories and the American Way which is to preserve life at all cost however if the situation calls for eliminating the enemy to accomplish the mission this is what must be done. If you ever met a quiet professional, the real operators that engage in this kind of dangerous work you would understand exactly what I am talking about..Saving lives without unnecessary loss of life is exactly what they train for and when this happens as exemplified during the Magellan Star Raid this creates a tremendous amount of pride for the very select few of this chosen profession and this kind of success is  what is considered what their real victories truly are.            

Aurora Col- Lessons Learned

This story is very sad however the Aurora Police Dept must be highly praised, they were on the scene within 90 seconds, that is truly a miraculous response time. The only answer to prevent this from ever happening again is to create a much tighter security operation within all of our soft targets. For example this diabolical individual should have never been able to enter the movie theater from an outside exit. Security personal on the ground need to prepare and do advance work on all of our public destinations. Unfortunately law enforcement can not be every where at all times, this means we all need to start working together. What makes this story so disturbing is that this guy was dressed in full tactical gear, ie- urban assault vest, leggings, throat protector and even a ballistic helmet that is worn by our real world guardian angels. This story is eerily reminiscent of the North Hollywood Shoot Out that occurred in Feb 1997. This shook the LAPD to the very foundations of its core. We all know changes need to be made when the enemy comes at us loaded with weapons and gear even more powerful then local Law Enforcement, since then changes were made. The Greenwich Police Dept has the best SWAT team in the state, this means they are one of the most elite in the entire country so residents can rest easy because it is a blessing that they don't get the call very often but when they do they will unequivocally be there to get the job done. When the enemy is dressed in a way that would make it difficult for us to take him out even with an active shooter detail on the ground this means that prevention and continuous training by higher paid security agents needs to take place. 90 seconds, that is amazing, this is what prevented even more deaths and bodily injury without question. As time moves on I hope to create an interstate interoperability system which means that every state will have much better communication. It all starts with the security personal on the ground,. more money, better training and a much closer relationship with local law enforcement and our federal agencies. Marshal Law was declared during Katrina however it still took much too long to do this so many lives were lost as a result. I attended Dr Kobetz Execurtive Protection Institute in Berrysville Va. The state of Va is a fine example of one of the few states that already has a decent interopeability program in place. Unfortunately a few miles down the road in Washington Dc they had the exact opposite, this is what led to many more lives being lost inside building 197 during the Naval Military shooting massacre last month    

Sandy Hook Newtown

This is a tragic story, every day I pray for the victims and their families. This story is so disturbing that I believe it hits all of us to the very fabric of our core. I almost bought a house in Newtown with my wife, it is a quaint environment known as one of the safest and nicest in our entire country. The only answer that I have that makes sense to prevent this from ever happening again is to create a threat assessment analysis for all of our public schools and place one individual on the ground dressed exactly like our Executive Protection Agents. This means he/she wouldn't stand out and cause attention by wearing a uniform w/ a weapon that is clearly visible. This would only ad fuel to the fire in a world where everybody is already shaken and horrified beyond belief. This agent will already be highly trained to take out the enemy. This is not an easy process, in fact contrary to how some people may feel this goes against our nature. Lt Col Dave Grossman explains this is his book On Killing. In the first few days of training students at the FBI Academy are asked if they feel that they would be capable of taking out the enemy if need be. The train up process for this is quite intensive, and once you go through it, you must retrain and go through it again and again until it becomes muscle memory and this means ongoing training w/ as close to real world simunition scenarios as possible. This is as serious as it gets because that is why we need a higher budget for our security agents. The last thing you want is people that really want to get the job done and even resort to paying for their ongoing training out of their own pocket because I have seen this and have trained w/ these fine men and women.. Is that really fair for them? A few years back a ninja dressed maniac in Colorado shot up a church. He then drove miles away and starting shooting up another church. There were two under trained security guards already there however although they had their weapons drawn they couldn't get the job done even though innocent people were getting hit and a Vietnam Vet who was there was screaming at these guards to give him their weapon so he could take this guy out. There was a hero off duty female police officer who came to the rescue, she came through and finally got the job done. The agent at our schools would dress exactly like my men, non threatening, with a sports coat and khaki pants and loafers and his/her personality would be very affable.. However he/she will have a 9 mill Glock concealed with many magazines tucked and hidden away that nobody would ever even know about. The job title for this guardian angel will be something along the lines of director of student affairs or assistant to the Headmaster.In-fact this guardian angel will look so non threatening he/she would fit right in at the local golf country club or black tie gala and speak the exact same language as the members. Their cover would never get blown because the only people that would ever know about this are the ones that needed to know and this would be a select few. This is the only thing that makes sense to prevent another horrific tragedy of epic proportions.
