If you never bring a knife to a gun fight you definitely dont bring a Doby to a Cane Corso brawl- I thought I was in hell before but didn't realize what hell was until my beautiful k9s went at each other with such ferocity I ended up having PTSD for over a week-
I have never directly experienced the cacophony of a firefight but have witnessed what's its like to be in a real life dog fight the intensity of 3 war dogs was something I wasn't prepared for- Duke has proven himself to have 9 lives after surviving a head on hit from a massive pick up truck a few months before-
I knew he was tough but feel guilty for not admonishing him stronger to stop provoking the two beautiful innocent Cane Corsos- Eventually they had enough and when the 2 war dogs fought back it was Hells Bells- The worst part was I didn't know who was who because it was dark and couldn't break it up-
Dana White explained how 2 UFC warriors went at it so ferociously neither one of them knew if they would actually live for the next minute let alone make it through the next round- That is the only thing I can equate it to because I knew Duke was dying right next to me- I was dying right along with him- That is how I truly felt-
One is not supposed to anthropomorphize but my doggies have human like qualities real emotions and they definitely have souls deep ones at that- Its was my job to protect them and felt horrible that I couldn't prevent that situation-
Duke made it out alive he has proven himself to be a ferocious loyal warrior in the likes that I never experienced nor expected especially since he was 12 years old at the time- Old war dogs never die they just fade away- Not in Dukes case he not only survived a head on from a massive pick up truck he held his own and stood his ground against 2 Romanian war dogs and actually lived to talk about it-
